What we collect

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties beyond the services needed to run and improve the product (including hosting, database, optional analytics and payments).

Microsoft Clarity cookies and consent

Microsoft Clarity is optional and our legal basis for using it is your consent. Until you select “Allow analytics”, the Clarity tag is not loaded and no Clarity data or cookies are created by Big Picture Planner.

If you consent, Clarity may set the first-party cookies _clck, which keeps a site-specific Clarity user identifier and preferences, and _clsk, which joins page views into one session. We explicitly deny advertising storage, so this integration is not used for targeted advertising.

You may refuse without losing any planner functionality. Use “Privacy choices” in the site footer to change or withdraw your choice at any time. Withdrawal clears Clarity cookies, stops the active recording and reloads the page without Clarity. We ask again after 13 months.

Clarity data and retention

Clarity processes interaction events such as clicks, scrolling, pointer movement, navigation, page layout, device/browser details, performance and diagnostic events to provide heatmaps and session replay. The planner application is explicitly masked, including planner content, and input values are not intentionally collected.

Microsoft currently retains ordinary session playback for 30 days and aggregated click and heatmap data for up to 13 months. Sessions deliberately labelled or favourited by an authorised project member may also be retained for up to 13 months. See Microsoft’s Clarity retention information and Privacy Statement.

Who controls your data

Big Picture Planner determines why this optional analytics data is collected. Microsoft provides and processes the Clarity service. For questions, objections, access or deletion requests, use our contact form. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact form and we will respond promptly.
